Em su\u00ednos, a biodisponibilidade da vitamina E foi estimada em at\u00e9 5%. A vitamina E tamb\u00e9m tem um escopo antioxidante limitado. Ela n\u00e3o oferece prote\u00e7\u00e3o contra danos oxidativos \u00e0s prote\u00ednas e suas consequ\u00eancias. Al\u00e9m disso, altas doses de vitamina E t\u00eam um impacto inconsistente no desempenho animal. Devido a esses desafios, h\u00e1 uma necessidade crescente de antioxidantes alternativos que possam oferecer uma prote\u00e7\u00e3o semelhante, ou at\u00e9 melhor, contra o estresse oxidativo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A vitamina E tem sido amplamente reconhecida como um antioxidante essencial na nutri\u00e7\u00e3o animal. Sua principal fun\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 proteger os \u00e1cidos graxos poli-insaturados (PUFAs) dentro das membranas celulares contra a oxida\u00e7\u00e3o, evitando a forma\u00e7\u00e3o de per\u00f3xidos lip\u00eddicos que podem danificar as c\u00e9lulas e os tecidos. Essa capacidade de estabilizar os lip\u00eddios fez com que a vitamina E se tornasse um componente b\u00e1sico nas dietas dos animais de produ\u00e7\u00e3o, principalmente em su\u00ednos e aves, onde a qualidade da carne \u00e9 de grande import\u00e2ncia econ\u00f4mica. Entretanto, apesar de seu uso generalizado, h\u00e1 uma preocupa\u00e7\u00e3o crescente com rela\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 efic\u00e1cia real da vitamina E, principalmente quando suplementada em n\u00edveis elevados.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Uma das principais limita\u00e7\u00f5es da vitamina E \u00e9 sua baixa biodisponibilidade. A forma mais comumente usada na nutri\u00e7\u00e3o animal \u00e9 o acetato de tocoferil, que deve ser hidrolisado no intestino antes de se tornar biologicamente ativo. Pesquisas demonstraram que apenas uma pequena fra\u00e7\u00e3o da vitamina E suplementada \u00e9 absorvida e utilizada pelo organismo. Em su\u00ednos, a biodisponibilidade da vitamina E foi estimada em at\u00e9 5%, o que significa que a maior parte do que \u00e9 fornecido na dieta n\u00e3o \u00e9 efetivamente utilizada. Essa baixa taxa de absor\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 ainda mais complicada por sua meia-vida plasm\u00e1tica curta &#8211; estudos indicam que a vitamina E tem uma meia-vida de aproximadamente 2,5 horas em su\u00ednos, o que \u00e9 significativamente mais curto do que as 24 a 72 horas supostas anteriormente. Isso sugere que os n\u00edveis de vitamina E na corrente sangu\u00ednea flutuam rapidamente, exigindo suplementa\u00e7\u00e3o frequente para manter a prote\u00e7\u00e3o adequada contra o estresse oxidativo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Outra limita\u00e7\u00e3o da vitamina E \u00e9 seu escopo antioxidante restrito. Como a vitamina E \u00e9 um composto sol\u00favel em gordura, ela atua principalmente nas membranas lip\u00eddicas. Embora isso seja ben\u00e9fico para proteger os PUFAs da oxida\u00e7\u00e3o, ela faz pouco para evitar danos oxidativos \u00e0s prote\u00ednas ou ao DNA, que tamb\u00e9m s\u00e3o altamente suscet\u00edveis a ataques de radicais livres. O dano oxidativo \u00e0s prote\u00ednas pode prejudicar o metabolismo celular, reduzir a fun\u00e7\u00e3o enzim\u00e1tica e comprometer as respostas imunol\u00f3gicas, mas a vitamina E oferece pouca prote\u00e7\u00e3o nessas \u00e1reas. Por outro lado, os antioxidantes alternativos, como os polifen\u00f3is, oferecem uma prote\u00e7\u00e3o mais ampla por funcionarem em ambientes lip\u00eddicos e aquosos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Outra preocupa\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 o impacto inconsistente de altas doses de vitamina E no desempenho animal. Embora a vitamina E seja recomendada com frequ\u00eancia para melhorar o crescimento, a fun\u00e7\u00e3o imunol\u00f3gica e a qualidade da carne, as metan\u00e1lises de estudos de dose-resposta em v\u00e1rias esp\u00e9cies n\u00e3o conseguiram mostrar uma correla\u00e7\u00e3o clara entre n\u00edveis mais altos de vitamina E e a melhoria de desempenho. Em algumas regi\u00f5es, doses extremamente altas de vitamina E s\u00e3o usadas rotineiramente, mas a justificativa cient\u00edfica para essa pr\u00e1tica ainda n\u00e3o est\u00e1 clara. A varia\u00e7\u00e3o nas recomenda\u00e7\u00f5es de vitamina E em diferentes pa\u00edses destaca ainda mais a incerteza em rela\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 dosagem ideal. Nos pa\u00edses latinos, os n\u00edveis recomendados tendem a se aproximar das diretrizes do NRC, enquanto em regi\u00f5es como B\u00e9lgica, It\u00e1lia e R\u00fassia, n\u00edveis significativamente mais altos s\u00e3o comuns. Em outros pa\u00edses, como os Estados Unidos, s\u00e3o usados n\u00edveis intermedi\u00e1rios. Essa falta de consist\u00eancia levanta quest\u00f5es importantes sobre se a suplementa\u00e7\u00e3o com altas doses de vitamina E \u00e9 realmente necess\u00e1ria ou se estrat\u00e9gias alternativas poderiam proporcionar uma prote\u00e7\u00e3o antioxidante mais eficaz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Produtos \u00e0 base de polifen\u00f3is como antioxidantes alternativos: percep\u00e7\u00f5es do Vitanox em su\u00ednos<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Devido a esses desafios, h\u00e1 um interesse crescente em identificar antioxidantes alternativos que possam oferecer uma prote\u00e7\u00e3o semelhante, ou at\u00e9 melhor, contra o estresse oxidativo. Uma das alternativas mais promissoras s\u00e3o os polifen\u00f3is, um grupo diversificado de compostos derivados de plantas que demonstraram um forte potencial antioxidante. Ao contr\u00e1rio da vitamina E, os polifen\u00f3is podem atuar em v\u00e1rios compartimentos celulares, oferecendo prote\u00e7\u00e3o a lip\u00eddios, prote\u00ednas e DNA. Al\u00e9m disso, foi demonstrado que alguns polifen\u00f3is exercem efeitos anti-inflamat\u00f3rios e de promo\u00e7\u00e3o da sa\u00fade intestinal, o que os torna ferramentas valiosas para melhorar a resist\u00eancia geral dos animais.
