A recente demonstra\u00e7\u00e3o da capacidade dos AGCMs de atenuar a prolifera\u00e7\u00e3o de alguns v\u00edrus encapsulados pode ter possibilitado novas aplica\u00e7\u00f5es para o futuro desses \u00e1cidos graxos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"color: #DB8E17\" class=\"text-color\">As propriedades antibacterianas dos \u00c1cidos Graxos de Cadeia M\u00e9dia foram historicamente comprovadas&nbsp; <\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A primeira descri\u00e7\u00e3o da a\u00e7\u00e3o antibacteriana dos \u00e1cidos graxos foi relatada por Robert Koch em 1881, ao testar diferentes combina\u00e7\u00f5es de sab\u00e3o contra a cepa Bacillus, que causa o Antraz. Entretanto, o sucesso dos antibi\u00f3ticos reduziu o interesse por essas mol\u00e9culas at\u00e9 1970. Desde ent\u00e3o, a busca por entender como os \u00e1cidos graxos agem, em especial os \u00c1cidos Graxos de Cadeia M\u00e9dia (AGCMs) tomou o seu lugar, e ficou comprovado que um crescente n\u00famero de pat\u00f3genos humanos e animais \u00e9 sens\u00edvel aos AGCMs (Balti\u0107 et al. 2017; Yoon et al. 2018). Desde os anos 2000, a tend\u00eancia de diminuir o uso de antibi\u00f3ticos para evitar o aumento da resist\u00eancia renovou o interesse por essa alternativa natural e confi\u00e1vel para controlar bact\u00e9rias patog\u00eanicas de uma maneira mais sustent\u00e1vel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>H\u00e1 muita literatura dispon\u00edvel sobre a a\u00e7\u00e3o antibacteriana dos AGCMs de diferentes comprimentos de carbono (C), os quais s\u00e3o chamados de \u00e1cidos Caproico (C8), Capr\u00edlico (C10) e L\u00e1urico (C12). Entende-se que o C6 e o C8 agem mais contra bact\u00e9rias Gram negativas, como a E. coli ou a Salmonella, ao passo que o C10 e o C12 agem mais contra bact\u00e9rias Gram positivas , como a Streptococcus ou a Clostridium. Os v\u00e1rios AGCMs compartilham uma atividade antibacteriana de tr\u00eas passos que agem de modo complementar: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Capacidade de criar poros nas c\u00e9lulas de bact\u00e9rias devido ao seu equil\u00edbrio hidr\u00f3filo-lip\u00f3filo\u00a0similar ao das membranas de lip\u00eddio, resultando no vazamento do citoplasma\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Aumentar a acidez do conte\u00fado interno da c\u00e9lula da bact\u00e9ria por liberar pr\u00f3tons\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Neutralizar a replica\u00e7\u00e3o de DNA devido \u00e0 aus\u00eancia do n\u00facleo da bact\u00e9ria\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-3 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><ul class=\"blocks-gallery-grid\"><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.agrimprove.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/shutterstock_519329620-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"1106\" data-link=\"https:\/\/www.agrimprove.com\/?attachment_id=1106\" class=\"wp-image-9249\"\/><\/figure><\/li><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.agrimprove.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/varkens-algemeen-hand-met-brok-394x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"1294\" data-link=\"https:\/\/www.agrimprove.com\/?attachment_id=1294\" class=\"wp-image-8937\"\/><figcaption class=\"blocks-gallery-item__caption\">Hand met brok\nHand holding concentrate<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/li><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.agrimprove.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/varkens-vleesvarkens-brijvoeren-394x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"1295\" data-link=\"https:\/\/www.agrimprove.com\/?attachment_id=1295\" class=\"wp-image-8938\"\/><figcaption class=\"blocks-gallery-item__caption\">Een vleesvarken eet brijvoer\nA fattening pig eating liquid feed<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/li><\/ul><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"color: #DB8E17\" class=\"text-color\">Aromabiotic<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>, uma hist\u00f3ria de 20 anos com&nbsp;AGCMs&nbsp; <\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>N\u00f3s realizamos v\u00e1rios testes pr\u00e1ticos no mundo todo, nos concentrando no impacto dos AGCMs na cria\u00e7\u00e3o de su\u00ednos. Uma parte significativa desses testes se concentrou no Aromabiotic\u00ae, que cont\u00e9m uma taxa equilibrada de diferentes \u00e1cidos graxos de C6 a C12. N\u00f3s provamos que a efic\u00e1cia combinada de C6, C8, C10 e C12 \u00e9 maior do que o uso de apenas um composto, em especial nas condi\u00e7\u00f5es pr\u00e1ticas da cria\u00e7\u00e3o de su\u00ednos, na qual uma grande quantidade de pat\u00f3genos Gram positivos e Gram negativos  podem prejudicar o desempenho dos animais. O uso do Aromabiotic\u00ae em diferentes est\u00e1gios da cria\u00e7\u00e3o de su\u00ednos melhora o desempenho dos animais de modo significativo, como resumido na tabela 1, aprimorando o balan\u00e7o econ\u00f4mico das granjas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"color: #DB8E17\" class=\"text-color\">O que podemos esperar dos AGCMs em um mundo com amea\u00e7as virais futuras, como a ASF, PED e PRRS?<\/span> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Em anos recentes, surtos de v\u00e1rios v\u00edrus foram um problema para a ind\u00fastria su\u00edna mundial. Em 2015, a propaga\u00e7\u00e3o da PED chocou a ind\u00fastria e agora, quatro anos mais tarde, a ASF est\u00e1 mudando o cen\u00e1rio mundial de cria\u00e7\u00e3o de su\u00ednos. Faz-se necess\u00e1ria uma abordagem bem ampla para lidar com esse tipo de amea\u00e7a, incluindo medidas de biosseguran\u00e7a, precau\u00e7\u00f5es veterin\u00e1rias, adapta\u00e7\u00f5es nutricionais e medidas de seguran\u00e7a alimentar para impedir a propaga\u00e7\u00e3o dessas doen\u00e7as. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A propaga\u00e7\u00e3o de part\u00edculas virais por meio do alimento \u00e9 uma preocupa\u00e7\u00e3o crescente nos EUA, tanto no caso do PEDv e da ASF (Nierderwerder et al., 2019). A pesquisa realizada na Universidade Estadual do Kansas (Cochrane et al. 2015) estudou a possibilidade de atenuar a propaga\u00e7\u00e3o do PEDv na alimenta\u00e7\u00e3o dos su\u00ednos usando AGCMs. A redu\u00e7\u00e3o da detec\u00e7\u00e3o do PEDv no alimento foi obtida de modo mais r\u00e1pido e com uma efic\u00e1cia maior (+18%) com AGCMs do que, entre outros produtos, formalde\u00eddo. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De modo similar, um estudo colaborativo de dose responsiva da Agrimprove e da Universidade de Gante confirmou o potencial do Aromabiotic\u00ae para evitar a invas\u00e3o dos Macr\u00f3fagos Alveolares Su\u00ednos pelo PRRSv in vitro (Figura 1). A hip\u00f3tese atual para a atividade antiviral direta dos AGCMs em rela\u00e7\u00e3o aos v\u00edrus encapsulados \u00e9 que os AGCMs possuem um efeito desestabilizador no encapsulamento virulento desses v\u00edrus. Essa hip\u00f3tese, que ainda exige valida\u00e7\u00e3o, abriria um novo campo de aplica\u00e7\u00e3o para os AGCMs no futuro, visto que muitos pat\u00f3genos futuros, como a Peste Su\u00edna Africana, a Peste Su\u00edna Cl\u00e1ssica, a PRRS e a PED s\u00e3o v\u00edrus encapsulados e podem se espalhar por meio da alimenta\u00e7\u00e3o. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.agrimprove.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/benefits-of-aromabiotic-1024x562.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8939\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.agrimprove.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/pams-positive-prrvs.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8940\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Os macr\u00f3fagos alveolares su\u00ednos (MASs) dos pulm\u00f5es de su\u00ednos PRRSV-negativos foram pr\u00e9-tratados in vitro com concentra\u00e7\u00f5es crescentes de \u00c1cidos Graxos de Cadeia M\u00e9dia antes de serem expostos ao PRRSv.
