Anavrin® has received positive recognition from IDELE, the French institute responsible for evaluating solutions that help reduce the carbon footprint of ruminant production.

Following its assessment of a dossier containing at least three independent studies, IDELE acknowledged a significant reduction in methane emissions in beef cattle when using Anavrin®, with reported reductions ranging from 12% to 16%.

Based on these findings, the evaluation also supports considering the inclusion of Anavrin® for beef cattle in the CAP2ER tool, which is used in France to assess the carbon footprint of livestock production at farm level.

This positive evaluation marks an important milestone for Anavrin® and further highlights its potential to support more sustainable beef production.

Supporting animal performance, farm results, and sustainability

Anavrin® is a natural blend based on tannins, nature-identical essential oils, and bioflavonoids. It is designed to support methane reduction while helping farmers optimize animal performance and health, farm profitability, and environmental impact.

In addition to the methane reduction acknowledged by IDELE, Anavrin® has been shown to reduce methane intensity in beef cattle by 17%, further supporting efforts to improve the sustainability of beef production systems.

Beyond its methane-reducing effects, Anavrin® has demonstrated additional benefits for beef cattle performance and health. Trial results have shown an average increase of 80 g in daily weight gain per animal, while improvements in calf health status were associated with 40% to 72% lower antibiotic usage.

Anavrin® is easy to implement on farm, requiring only one daily feeding to deliver its benefits. Its ingredients are authorized for use in the European Union, and the product is already being used in beef production systems across multiple regions worldwide.

The positive evaluation by IDELE further strengthens the growing body of evidence supporting the use of Anavrin® in beef cattle production. Our team is happy to provide further insights into Anavrin® and its practical application on farm.
